The house is smartly designed into two distinct family units, each featuring interlinked rooms sharing an en-suite bathroom layout. It includes 4 bedrooms, 7 beds, 2 interlinked family bathrooms, and a separate guest toilet.

• Family Unit 1 (Rooms 1 & 2):

  • Room 1: 1 x Double Bed

  • Room 2: 3 x Single Beds

  • Bathroom: An interlinked en-suite bathroom with a shared shower and toilet layout connecting these rooms.

• Family Unit 2 (Rooms 3 & 4):

  • Room 3: 1 x Double Bed

  • Room 4: 2 x Single Beds

  • Bathroom: An interlinked en-suite bathroom with a shared shower and toilet layout connecting these rooms.

• Living & Shared Areas:

  • A massive, flowing open-plan kitchen, casual lounge, and dining area complete with a convenient guest toilet.

  • A spacious outdoor verandah with a built-in braai place for relaxed evening barbecues.

  • A private laundry room (strictly for housekeeping staff use).

Open Season

📅 Minimum Stay Requirement: A minimum stay of 2 nights applies to all bookings across the Open Season.

• Minimum Rate: R2,695 / day (covers up to 4 people)

• Standard Rate: R3,190 / day (covers up to 7 people)

• Full House Rate: R3,685 / day (covers up to 9 people)

Peak Season

📅 Minimum Stay Requirement: A minimum stay of 3 nights applies to all bookings across the Peak Season

• Minimum Rate: R2,995 / day (covers up to 4 people)

• Standard Rate: R3,735 / day (covers up to 7 people)

• Full House Rate: R3,985 / day (covers up to 9 people)

Booking Policy & House Rules

1. Reservations & Capacity Rules

• Minimum Stay: All reservations require a minimum stay of 2/3 nights.

• Maximum Standard Occupancy: Strict limit of 9 adults or older children overnight.

• Small Children Exception: To comfortably accommodate families, small children exceeding the 9-guest limit can be accommodated on floor mattresses.

• Child Bedding: Guests are required to provide their own bedding and linens for any small children sleeping on floor mattresses.

• Rate Structures: Minimum rates cover up to 4 guests. Additional guests are charged the applicable standard or full house rate. 

2. Check-In & Check-Out Times

• Check-In: From 14:00 PM onwards.

• Check-Out: By 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
  (Early check-ins or late check-outs must be requested in advance and are subject to availability).

3. Housekeeping & Laundry Services

• Daily Cleaning: To ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay, a dedicated housekeeper services the house daily from 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

• Private Laundry Room: The on-site laundry room is private and strictly operated by our housekeeper only.

• Guest Laundry Service: For your convenience, laundry services can be arranged directly through our housekeeper during her morning hours. This service is available at a rate of R60 per bundle or R60 per guest.

• Self-Catering Care: Guests are kindly requested to leave the kitchen in a reasonably tidy state and ensure dishes are washed outside of the regular housekeeping hours.

• No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house. You are welcome to smoke outdoors on the verandah.

4. Facilities Manual

💧 Water Conservation: Coastal regions often face water scarcity. We gently ask our guests to use water sparingly—please ensure taps are fully closed and consider keeping showers brief.

❄️ Air Conditioning: Use the provided remotes to adjust the AC. A temperature setting of 21°C–23°C (70°F–73°F) provides the best cooling efficiency while conserving electricity. AC must be turned of during the day when not occupied.

🔥 Gas Appliances & Water Heating: 

• 5-Burner Stove & Oven: The kitchen is equipped with a 5-burner gas stove for your cooking convenience. 

• Gas Water Heating: Our showers are connected to a reliable gas water heating system to ensure a steady supply of hot water during your stay.

📺 Entertainment System: There is no Smart TV connected to the Wi-Fi. You are welcome to bring your Smart TV or Smart TV projector to log into your own Netflix or DSTV accounts for family movie nights!

🔥 The Braai Area

You will find the outdoor braai (barbecue) area fully equipped. Ensure the fire is completely extinguished before heading to bed.

5. Shared Lodge Rules

• While Khaya Kosi is entirely self-catering and private, guests must adhere to the communal rules, safety guidelines, and operating hours of the Palm Tree Lodge facilities.
