Where Pristine Wilderness Meets Unspoiled Luxury

Welcome to Kosi Bay, a breathtaking coastal wonderland tucked away in the northeastern corner of KwaZulu-Natal. Forming a vital part of the world-renowned iSimangaliso Wetland Park World Heritage Site, this pristine paradise is bounded by the Mozambique border to the north and the warm Indian Ocean to the east—just an easy five-hour drive from Durban.

The Magic of the Lakes & Wildlife

Kosi Bay is celebrated as one of the most fascinating and beautiful untouched lake systems on the African continent. The ecosystem consists of four crystal-clear lakes woven together by meandering wetland channels. It is a vibrant sanctuary teeming with spectacular biodiversity:

🦛 Lake Giants: Spot resident hippos and crocodiles drifting through the quiet waters.

🐋 Marine Wonders: Watch seasonal Humpback whales cruise offshore, and witness ancient Leatherback and Loggerhead sea turtles coming ashore to nest on the beaches from November to January.

🦅 A Birder’s Paradise: Explore the 11,000-hectare nature reserve, home to over 250 species of birds, including the rare Palmnut Vulture nesting among unique Raffia Palms.

🐒 Lush Habitats: Wander through mangrove swamps, wild date palms, and sycamore fig forests that house bushbuck, duiker, and playful monkeys.
